Chapter 2 thoughts and reflections
Both Captain Michaels and Artemis*, the ship computer, lack information about the mystery of the nature of the vessel and its history. This is likely a multimillion dollar interstellar ship. I am awaiting for this mystery to unfold.
BTW, this story is very reminiscent of the Passengers film of 2016 (which I liked).

*Oops. Athena is the ship’s computer, not Artemis.
CH 3 thoughts and reflections
The suggested use of the knife accompanying the pulse gun is a mature theme**; not suitable for children in my opinion.

The attendant drones named according to color are darling. They remind me of polite, kind and helpful versions of Pac-men.
**As noted in the comments, the author, Mr. Mounger states that the book is meant for “teens and up.”

Chapter 4 thoughts and reflections
Uncle Otto is adept at handling the ship’s computer system and its features during a pirate attack. The author of this “Space Explorer” series is a computer whiz himself.

Is it me or in movies do pulse guns and lasers always disable automatic doors by damaging consoles and slug-throwing guns unlock mechanical doors?
A bit of mild profanity in CH 4.

Other Chapter 3 topics which piqued my interest:
Otto’s Obi Wan moment
data crystal
Pink = the medical drone
Translator implants apparently cause pain
Athena accused of being a “Welded***” ship.
Big promise to rescued princess: “We will take you wherever you want to go.”
food printer

Chapter 5 thoughts and reflections
Hydroponics mentioned as part of food production aboard the Athena.
Serana, the rescued princess, suggests that a food printer would be beneficial.
The “Welded***” were the AI that broke away during the war between AI and humans, which sounds like a Terminator theme. Welded=A welded bucket of bolts.
Some of the ship drones are attack or defense drones as compared to the darling attendant drones named after colors.

CH 6 thoughts and reflections
The main hero of the story, Jack, performs a laser surgery from a distance on a monster in outer space.
“A psionic is a person who can do things with their energy and mind.”
My question to Mr. Mounger, the Author of the Space Explorer series: Is there an official map of the Space explorer Universe? A lot of properly named systems are mentioned in Chapter 6.

Chapter 7 thoughts and reflections
Dexter, Serana’s Uncle, questions the identity of Jack and his ship: Neither are known “entities.”
Athena, Jack’s ship, single-handedly deals with several pirate ships.

Chapter 8 thoughts and reflections
A rather “pedestrian” chapter in which Serana and Dexter discuss her future options. A bit of comic relief with drone “dance-off.”

Chapter 9 thoughts and reflections
Revelation: the pirate attacks were commissioned.
Chapter 10 thoughts and reflections
Jack, the hero of the story is married. At least on paper.
Chapter 11 thoughts and reflections
The Chapter 11 narrative of Space Explorer: Exploring my Awakening possesses interesting similarities to the story of Abraham and Sarah in Egypt with Pharaoh: Genesis Chapter 12.
Chapter 12 thoughts and reflections
Something like Force Wave.
Epilogue thoughts and reflections
Jack et al will mission to rescue a stranded exploration party within the ancient ruins of an alien race. Hmmm….
Afterward thoughts and reflections
I would like to see these short videos from Mr. Mounger, author of Space Explorer: Exploring my Awakening:
Three things (reflections from the author himself) about his “Exploring my Awakening” Sci-Fi book.
Three reflections regarding writing, publishing and marketing.
Anticipation of further books in the Space Explorer series.
Closing thoughts
I enjoyed the read, particularly Mr. Mounger’s uniting of old earth lore/mythology and kingdom/feudal systems with science fiction.

Well, I look away for one minute and you go ahead and zerg through several chapters. Nice. As for a map.. I don’t have one exactly, considering the size and fact that space isn’t a flat surface but a 3D (cube/sphere?) It would be fairly difficult to make a map, but I could probably put together the overall map of the empires of the universe. That would be a bit easier.

Thanks for taking the time to read, Brother Barnes. I’m still working on book two, but haven’t gotten as much this week done as I’d like. We’ve all been sick. As to the knife and probably a few other scenes, the book is for Teens and up, so no children need apply. I am working on a children’s book, but I need to improve my art ability first. You can check my current progress at the substack link if you want to see my daily doodles. Keep up the feedback and I’ll happily reply.
